Aerospace Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector conducts visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on a wide range of mechanical and electrical parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies during the receiving, in-process, and final inspection process.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect mechanical and electrical parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies during receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
• Identify, document, and secure nonconforming parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies, and submit them to the Material Review Board (MRB) for disposition.
• Generate and follow up on internal and supplier corrective action requests.
• File and maintain quality records efficiently.
• Focus on continuous improvement and demonstrate good business judgment.
• Collaborate effectively with all internal departments, customers, and Regulatory Agencies to exceed expectations for customer satisfaction.
• Provide inspection feedback to suppliers and other departments to improve quality.
• Ensure compliance with customer, statutory, and regulatory agency regulations such as FAA, EASA, ITAR.
• Generate necessary inspection data sheets and documentation for recording and reporting inspection results.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and generate/review documentation of FAI results in accordance with SAE AS9102.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Essential Skills:

• Experience using quality tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, go/no-go gauges, and coordinated measuring machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency in recording quality checks into a computer system, specifically using SAP ERP.

Work Environment:

The work environment is clean and temperature-controlled, with a smaller quality group. The position is on the day shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
